Liebe Familie Basler,

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. This hotel is usually a stopover. Indeed there are not really things to see, but the road from Lüderitz to this hotel has beautiful view. We advise also travellers to take the D707, beautiful.
As for the hotel, nice and clean room. It is calm and relaxing. Food is good. Nights can be very cold in this area, as it is approx. 1500m above sea level.

We spent one night in this nice hotel. Very nice experience. It's calm and relaxing. They have very delicious apple cake that you should definitely try!! Even walking along the road in the neighbourhood of the hotel is nice because there is nothing around and there are very few cars passing by (almost none).
Staff is friendly and very helpful. Reception is located in the main building together with the restaurant and souvenir shop where one can find quiet interesting items - have a look for sure.

Dinner was delicious and nicely presented. We were as well satisfied with the room we got. During 23 days of our holiday in Namibia this was one of the best accommodations we had. This is really place for relaxing and that's why we used it in order to break the long way from the south to the north of the country.

On our holiday trip to Lüderitz we decided to drive from Swakopmund via Walvis Bay the first time to see the so much discussed C14. We believe the sand roads are made for the tourist and the tarred roads are made for us locals.
We decided to stay over at the hotel in Helmeringhausen.  The booking was done from our office and we arrived, due to tyre punctures in the dark, which was not planed at all. Very warm welcome at the hotel and we had first a few very well deserved drinks at the fully stocked bar. The pre-booked three course dinner was very good and the Springbok loin was perfectly prepared.

The rooms are spacious, we enjoyed our one night stay in the hotel. The breakfast as well was served to perfection, all in all everything was above expectation. With the help of the owner the second puncture was sorted out in Helmeringhausen and we could proceed on the C14 to Aus and than to Lüderitz.

I believe every Namibian should also try a trip on the C14 and appreciate the good standards of our country hotels.
